Who We Are & What We Do
Bringing Christmas joy to local children since 1916!
The Santa Claus Girls have proudly served children and families throughout the Grand Forks, North Dakota, and East Grand Forks, Minnesota, communities for more than a century. Our reach continues to grow! In 2023, we expanded our services to include Grand Forks Air Force Base, followed by children ages 0–4 in Emerado in 2025.
Our mission is simple but meaningful: to bring joy, comfort, and the magic of Christmas to children ages 12 and under from families in need during the holiday season.
Every approved family receives a holiday package for each eligible child, filled with thoughtful essentials and festive surprises, including:
- An age-appropriate toy
- A new pair of socks
- gloves, and a warm hat
- A toothbrush and toothpaste (sponsored by Badger Dental)
- Candy bag, for their stocking
- Age-appropriate reading book
- A coloring book & crayons to inspire creativity
We also provide each family with a gift certificate for a large pizza from our local partner, Deek’s Pizza, along with wrapping paper and tape so parents and guardians can wrap their children’s gifts and create special holiday memories.
It takes approximately $85,000 each year to make this mission possible. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, volunteers, and community partners, we can continue spreading holiday cheer and helping local families experience the joy of the season.
